Update #51
Quick Update
Hey Guys!
Hope everyone's Holiday was awesome. We returned from a VERY short break January 4th, and hit the ground running.
We had planned to get this update out a while ago, but we have been buried in assembly/shipping of the product, which we considered a priority; however, here it is without further adieu :)
Here is where we are at the moment:
Postal Increase
We found out in December that the USPS was doing a postal increase (this will be the second one since the completion of the KS) which took place January 17th, 2016. The increase earlier in 2015 primarily affected the international shipping cost. This one affected all shipping, so we are looking at an average increase of 10-20% (internationals are even higher) for shipments from just this increase alone. Unfortunately, this changed things a bit. When we returned, we were hoping to get all the shipments out before the increase date and ship in order (according to the Pledge Manager). However, it became very quickly clear this was not going to happen due to the time it was taking to assemble all of the product codes. Because the hardest hit shipments would be the internationals, we focused on getting as many international shipments out the door before this date for obvious reasons. That was the weekend of January 16/17th.
Product Code Assembly
As we explained in the previous update, this is the last huge endeavor, getting all of the various product codes assembled and accurate. This is just taking a GREAT deal of TIME. To give you an idea of the scope of this part of the project, if you take 200,000 parts and estimate that if you spend just 30 seconds per part (this number is very conservative, that time would have to represent ALL time spent on handling a single assembly item – casting, assembly, packing and so on), the time estimated for one person working 40 hours a week is over 40 weeks! Of course, that's man hours, so the more people you add to this drops the time it takes, but this should give you an idea of the enormity of this stage of the project. But we have a lot more than 200,000 parts to assemble into product codes, so we are simply throwing time and people to this part of the project and getting it done.
Fulfillment/Shipping
Also because of the postal increase, we began to ship sooner than we had planned. Again, the plan was to have all of the product codes assembled first and then start pulling the orders by who completed the check out in our Pledge manager first (this was the easiest way for us to do it with our system). However, since we had to start shipping orders before we had completed all the assemblies, if we pull an order with an item that we ran out of, we put it aside and fill it when we restock the missing product code. But the good news is that we have begun to ship. We are now assembling/shipping daily so we can move product/orders to clear space for more product/orders to be assembled/shipped. Ready or not here they come :)
Unfortunately, some orders are still missing the additional shipping fees required for some items, so please check your order on the Pledge Manager. If the status does not say "Verified" or "Shipped" (obviously), that most likely means there are items on the order that are missing required additional shipping item(s). If this is the case, check the description for each item on your order to see if there is an additional shipping item required.
Also, we noticed there are still addresses that have been changed, but we have not been notified. So as we said before, if your shipping information has changed, you MUST contact us to verify it, because we have to go in the system and manually change it and reprint the invoice. Otherwise, it could potentially cause a mis-ship or delay your order being processed.
Forum
The Forum is up and running (http://frontline-games.com/forum), and we will be adjusting it as it grows. Any suggestions, please contact us and we will be happy to hear from you. We are looking to appoint moderators for the forum, but still working on this. We would like to strongly encourage all of you to join the forum and help us build that community to share painting and customizing ideas. Many of you have already requested pictures from your fellow Stone supporters, so again, post often and post away :) NOTE: When you register, should receive a confirmation email that you must use to verify your account before you can sign in to the forum. Some users have had their confirmation emails go to their spam folders, so if you registered but never received your confirmation email and activated your account then your account is not active, please check your spam folders or let us know and we will get you activated.
Instructions/Customization
We are currently working on instructions for the Stones Dungeon tiles. In the mean time, here is some quick information for assembly of the doors, painting and so on that has been posted on the forum.

Assembling the doors quick instructions and even a modeling trick can be found here: http://frontline-games.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=17 We will also have official instructions on the FLG website shortly. 2.We have begun a "Stones Dungeon Tiles Fun Facts" topic on the forum and you can view it here : http://frontline-games.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18
Dark Dwarves
I wanted to give you guys a picture of the Dark Dwarves in their entirety. So below are the five Dark Dwarves including the two that were not shown previously.
A final note...
I want to take a moment to say thank you to you, our backers. Without you, this would not have been possible, but now Stones Dungeon Tiles have become a reality and will be offered for sale in our online store (frontline-games.com) very soon. Thank you very much for your patience, and for those who haven't received their Stones, know that we are working very hard to get them to you as soon as possible. We are going to get to everyone.
I would also like to let everyone know that the Frontline Games team has went above and beyond and has worked very hard to keep things running smoothly. A lot of these guys are working long hours, and we wanted to let you guys know and let them know that we appreciate ALL their efforts.
Now, back to the grind. We've got orders to ship!
Update #50
Look what has arrived - STONES!!
Well folks, we finally have them in hand! thousands and thousands of STONES DUNGEON TILES! We can hold 'em, we can feel 'em, we can sniff 'em, and they smell brand new...YIPPEE!
Fulfillment Update
There was a slight problem in the beginning with the paperwork via China, however it finally was worked out, and the Stones arrived here. We were slightly shorthanded due to the rescheduling of the delivery, but we managed to get them unloaded and into our now very full facility! Each box was an average of 25lbs, and there are now hundreds of thousands of Stones Dungeon Tiles in the Warehouse.
The crew unloading the truck of STONES!
The Stones shelves before and...
...After. And they were still not large enough to hold all those Stones!
Now there are Stones cases here, there and...
EVERYWHERE! Our Warehouse is bulging with Stones, and we are very happy! :)
So what's next?
We now have to inventory the entire shipment and verify that all of the goodies are where they are suppose to be! Once that is complete, we begin the process of sorting, assembling & packaging hundreds of thousands of items into their product codes. Because of the huge amount of items to be processed, this will be our longest remaining process. But we are on schedule for January, and again, our main focus is going to be accuracy. There are numerous items/product codes in the KS, so we will be very diligently making sure the items are accurately packed. And then finally FULFILLMENT, and we can hardly wait :) Something New For You
A little extra for your viewing pleasure. We had many of the relevant Stones items cast in a new specially formulated high-density polyurethane "black" (or in some cases brown) material. So what's the advantage? It's similar to the Stones material with ease of painting, so with items such as the Columns all you have to do is wash it in warm soapy water (suggested to get rid of any mold release residue), lightly prime it with a flat black spray paint, dry brush your desired Stones color (just like the Stones tiles) add any extra detail, and viola - you are done! Because of the dark, rich color, the depth is already there, so dry-brushing just enhances it tremendously. We will have demos and how-to's coming later. Have a look at some of the product cast in the new material:
Double Doors!
Stalagmites, rock formations and deposits set!
Hex: Complete and Ruined columns! Note that the above standing columns are mounted on Stones 25mm Square miniature bases, which you can also do with yours!
25mm Round and Square Bases!
NEW Bonus 20mm Bases!
The new 20mm Square miniature bases done in the Stones type designs for use with the smaller miniatures such as Dwarves, Goblins, and whatever else suits your fancy.
Sample of the Dark Dwarves mounted on the new 20mm Square Miniature bases, which will be included FREE with your Dark Dwarves and Goblin purchases!
FLG Forum
The forum is nearing completion, just being fine-tuned. Once that is complete, we will be sending you all a link so you can start or join in discussions, custom work, and so on.
Shipping Info
Again, make sure your shipping information is correct and up to date in the Pledge Manager, especially on your invoice. If you aren’t sure how to view your invoice, let us know and we’ll email it to you.
Well folks, that is it for now. We are very excited that we are on the last phase of this project, and we are hard at work getting this all ready for you guys. The next update won't be until next year, so we want to wish all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Get ready for your Stones to arrive, because January is just right around the corner!
Thank you again for your continued support. We appreciate each and every one of you. Without all of you this would have not been possible!
Update #49
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey Guys!
A quick update to let you know what is happening.
Fulfillment Progress
GOOD NEWS! Stones Dungeon Tiles are in the United States - YIPPEE!! Customs, then on a truck and on their way to us. Closer and closer!
We have now begun to focus more on the fulfillment portion of the KS. The fact is that the Stones shipment is going to arrive right in the Holiday season which is the busiest time of the year for pretty much, well, everything :)
So based on some quick calculations, this is what we expect to happen:
Once the shipment arrives (which we estimate the first part of December since November is just about over) we have to check it in, which means inventory/verify all of the items are accounted for. We have to literally sort, assemble & package hundreds of thousands of items, and many product codes cannot be assembled/packaged until the Stones shipment arrives. Because of the sheer numbers and time it will take, we estimate that the fulfillment will begin about the first week of January. Our main focus is going to be accuracy. There are numerous items in the KS, so we will be very diligently making sure that when your order arrives, what you ordered is in the box. Please understand that this is an estimation as there are still many variables involved here. We are simply trying to be as realistic as possible and keep you informed to the best of our ability. So again, not long now.
The New Forum
On another note, we are getting ready to launch the Forum where everyone can share modeling tips, painting, custom work and so on. Once it is up we will let you know, so keep an eye out.
Shipping Info
Again, make sure your shipping information is correct and up to date in the Pledge Manager, especially on your invoice. If you aren’t sure how to view your invoice, let us know and we’ll email it to you.
Thank you everyone for your continued support (the ride is almost over!) and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
Update #48
Status Update - Production/Shipping
Hello Guys!
We just got word that production was completed and the items were shipped on 11/2 as scheduled. They are expected to get to port in about 3-4 weeks give or take. We will keep you posted with any further news as we get it.
We are getting closer!
Update #47
Pledge Manager Update
Just a heads up, the Pledge Manager was scheduled to close today, but since it went down yesterday when many of you were trying to lock in your pledge rewards, we decided to keep it open until Monday, October 26th. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks, and have a great week!
Update #46
Status Update
Hello guys!
We have received word from the manufacturer (apparently they were on some sort of national holiday, so hence the delay in responding to us). So here is the status of the Stones Dungeon Tiles at this point:
1. We were informed that we would be contacted by the person in charge of scheduling/shipping with a status update. This is the person who handles the final stages, which is scheduling production to completion and then shipping, which is being packed and shipped to us.
2. The next email we received, we were contacted by their scheduling/shipping manager and she informed us that we were scheduled to be complete by October 30 and shipped by November 5th.
3.We then asked if there was a chance that we could be completed/shipped sooner, and the response was that we were moved ahead to October 27th being the production completion date and being shipped by November 2nd. however, if things progress faster, we will be moved up even sooner and will be informed if this happens. That's 3 days earlier so far with the possibility of being bumped up even sooner. But until then, this is the official ship date from the scheduling/shipping manager, so it should be solid.
So this is where we are now, folks. We are scheduled to have production completed in 2 weeks and ship in less than 3 weeks. We will keep you posted as more information comes in. We're getting there!
Pledge Manager
In light of the new information, we are moving the closing date of the Pledge Manager to Wednesday, October 21st. So you have a little more time to lock in your pledge and select your rewards. If you haven't already, please do so ASAP.
pledgemanager.stonesterrain.comWe want to re-emphasize that you need to make sure your shipping information is correct and up to date in the Pledge Manager, especially on your invoice. If you aren’t sure how to view your invoice, let us know and we’ll email it to you.
What a "ride," but we are getting closer, and we are so anxious to get these to you guys. Thank you all again for your continued support.
Have a great rest of the week!
Update #45
A Quick Update
This is a quick update to keep you in the loop of what’s going on, so let’s get to it.
Fulfillment
Our last communication with the manufacturer was that we’re in the queue for production, which is waiting for our turn to be put on the machines. The next notification should be that production is complete and product is ready to ship, which should be any time. This does mean that because we have not got that word yet, we will not have the product by the end of September but more like the following month (depending on shipping time).
Once we get the notice that the product has shipped, we will let you know and keep you informed as the shipment makes its way to us. We did send over a request for a status update and are waiting to hear back. Again, folks, it’s just a matter of time.
Pledge Manager
Well, the time has come. The Pledge Manager is scheduled to be closed on Monday, October 5th. So anything you want to add, get it in now. At that point, we will begin moving the Stones Dungeon Tiles over to a retail platform, so once fulfillment is complete, they can go on sale to the rest of the world. So in essence, laaassst caaallll :)
Also, make sure your shipping information is correct and up to date in the Pledge Manager, especially on your invoice. If you aren’t sure how to view your invoice, let us know and we’ll email it to you.
Regardless of delays, we are getting closer to the end. The molds are done, the samples look good, and we have overcome many hurdles to bring these Dungeon Tiles to reality. We are still so very excited to get these Stones to you guys, our backers, and can't wait to get to the next stage, seeing you guys get them in your hands and all the different ways you paint and customize them, which is going to be awesome!Remember, if you have not already, go finalize your pledge: pledgemanager.stonesterrain.com
Have a great weekend!
Update #44
SAMPLES ARE IN!
Hey folks! An exciting update again. We got our samples and have included lots of pictures for you to check out the official Stones Dungeon Tiles in the official Stones material, woohoo! As well as covering a few other things.
Since the last update we did have a minor issue come up concerning flowing issues with the water and gutter tiles which, unfortunately, adds a little more time to the process. The manufacturer had suggested a different texture for the water areas to correct this problem; however, after expressing to them that we wanted to maintain the original surface, a solution was found and the water/gutter tiles are good.
At any case, lets get into the rest of the update.
Fulfillment
Since our last update we received more solid estimated delivery dates, which remains consistent with our previous estimation, which is to have the samples to us by the end of August (already happened) and to have the product shipment by the end of September. So at this point if all goes well in the world we should have the tiles in about that time give or take. Keep those fingers crossed :)
Pledge Manager
Well, we're at that point. We estimate that the Pledge Manager is going to shut down in the next couple of weeks. We'll give you notice when this is going to happen, but it's time to get your final selections in.
Also, please make sure that your shipping address is correct on your invoice. If you have moved since the Kickstarter ended, you will need to send us an email to let us know so we can make sure it gets corrected.
Cases for Stones Dungeon Tiles
We have another manufacturer in place and waiting for another quote, and again hoping the minimums/quantities are good. We are looking to have a custom foam tray made to go into the miniature case or into a box so you can store the Dungeon tiles. At this point this may happen after the KS has been fulfilled, but we will keep you posted.
Samples!
We got the samples from the manufacturer and wanted to share what the actual Stones are going to look like. We dry-brushed & stained some quickly so you could see the detail better. We love them and can't wait to get them to you! Without further ado, here they are:
The original four Stones Dungeon Tiles as they will be coming in the charcoal dark gray color (top row) and the ones below them simply dry brushed quickly with a "weathered stone" color and then dry-brushed with white.
They were washed in warm soapy water, and once washed they take the acrylic paint VERY well!
The Earth side of the first four Dungeon tiles. They can be dry-brushed sand, earth tones, or whatever you would like for your adventures.
Next, the Paved-Stone and Small-Tiled Tiles. The Paved Stone has a very rough/rugged look to it, and the tiled-tiles are going to look slick with a nice paint job, and the chips/cracks detail came out very nice.
The flip side of the two above, the Large-Tiled Tile (flip-side of the Paved-Stone - note how different the Large Tile and Paved-Stone are) and the Cavern Tile (flip-side of the Small-Tiled Tile). A little dry-brushing and stain will go a long way with these!
Cobblestone and Wooden-Planked Tiles, and again the above two dry-brushed and then stained quickly to show the detail. The bottom tiles are shown as they will come. You can stain some of the Cobblestone different colors to add more character and even the wooden planks, even more lighter dry-brushing to bring out more detail! Again, I'm imagining courtyards, docks, and whatever else you can conjure up in your minds. These are great!
The Water Tile shown above. The one on the left has had the bottom of it stained with a blue and the one on the right is as it will come. Note how the grid/snow pattern shows through the bottom. We stained the top of the water tile with blue, but with the gutter tile (seen later) we left the water clear on top and just stained the bottom, and we like that effect better.
A closer shot of the water tile to (hopefully) show the subtle pattern on it and how the stained "snow" pattern shows through it like underlying ripples.
The Cracked Ice Tile. The one above is as it will come in the clear translucent. The one on the bottom left painted to show cracked lava plates (sprayed with a flat black primer and then painted with deep yellow in the cracks and then wiped the excess away with a towel and added red stain and again wiped away the excess, and there you have it. It was very quick and easy to do). The Cracked Ice was stained with a dark blue and then let dry and dry-brushed a white, again done very quickly! You can use the same method to do Scorched Earth with Dried Cracked Earth by simply using earth-tone colors!
A closer shot and dimmed light so you can see how it comes. You could just use the Cracked Ice out of the box as is. The translucent material already looks like cracked ice!
The Bubbling Mud Tile. The left is as it comes and the right has been stained with dark green so you can see the detail. It can be painted in many different ways to do bubbling mud, water, lava, and whatever else you can think of :)
And the final tile in this set - the Gutter Tile. Again, the one on the left is as it will come (translucent) and the painted one on the right so you can see the detail. As mentioned above, all we did with the water area was left it clear as it came and stained the bottom with a dark blue, and we like it much better as the water looks clear like you can reach into it. The Stone was painted by using painters tape to cover the water area and then sprayed with a black primer and then dry-brushed the same as we did the the first Stones Dungeon Tiles. We really like the way it came out :) Remember that you can cut two tiles diagonally to get corner gutter tiles or even cut the tiles in half with the water to get a shoreline. I'm sure other methods will come as we go forward, many possibilities!
All of the translucent tiles have the "snow" bottoms. Stained with a dark blue and then dry-brushed with white - Snow! Imagine a board with these and then cracked ice in various places, neat! Makes me cold just thinking about it.
A shot of the Metal Door. Left is a painted version with dry-brushed metal and then stained lightly with Sepia/Dark brown and excess wiped away - again a quick job so you can see the detail. The right one is the color it will come in - Stones material.
The flip side of the door.
The Wooden Door. Left is a quick painted/stained version so you can see detail better and the right is the way it will come in the official Stones material.
The "extra" item. We had the columns put on mold also, and they now come in two parts as you see above and are cast in the Stones material as well!
By simply stacking them on top of each other you can make them taller. We just placed one on top of the other above so you could see how easy it would be. Imagine courtyards with a large statue and some of these on opposite ends or even collapsed as a ruined courtyard - your imagination is the limit!
A closeup of the "legal line" that is now in an indented area on the side so it will not interfere with the intended use of the tiles.
So there you have it folks. It won't be long now, and we are so very excited and hope you are too! And again, remember to finalize your pledge.
pledgemanager.stonesterrain.comUpdate #43
Fulfillment, New Rooms, and more!
Hello all again!
We have a few things to inform you guys of, so lets get started.
Fulfillment
I know you have all been waiting to hear an update on fulfillment, but we wanted to wait until we had more information from the manufacturer before making any projections. Right now fulfillment is estimated to be 6 to 8 weeks from our original projection, which was the middle to end of July. We really thought there would be no problem meeting the July fulfillment date. Some things came up that we had to address, such as the dungeon tiles and the translucents being two different depths, which caused some confusion with the manufacturer and needed to be clarified. Also, we added two items to go on mold in the Stones material, which is actually good news, but more on that later. That changed the way the product was going to be molded/manufactured and so on.
All these things added a little more time, but the biggest issue and most time consuming was the issue of the legal line, which is the copyright and notice of manufacturer location, which must be stamped or embossed on every completed item. The first image we received was a sample of the legal line placed on top of all the tiles, and we knew that that was unacceptable. You can imagine the alarm when we first saw that! I was imagining all of our backers carving "FLG © 2015 - made in China" off of each and every tile. We expressed our concern that this was not something that we could do, so my suggestion was that they put it on the sides so that it would not interfere with the double-sided tiles. Then it was a question of how that could be done (manufacturing process and so on). Rather than go into a long drawn out explanation of all that happened, the solution finally was that there would be a rectangle indentation on the side of every tile, and the legal line would be placed inside of the indentation as to not interfere with the integrity or intended design of the tile. This took a while to work out, but we got it resolved, and as they say "all is good".
Pledge Manager
A lot of you have been asking when the Pledge Manager will be closed. Because of the delay, it will remain open for an extended period of time. Again, you should still go on there and lock down your pledges, but you can add to them until we close. We will let you guys know before closing the Pledge Manager.
NOTE: Please make sure the address on your invoice is correct and up to date. If you have moved recently or plan to move before fulfillment, please update your address and send us a message so we can update your invoice.
Square-Bricked and Round Columns
Good news! So you know, the square-bricked and round columns did go on mold to be made in the Stones material. We are super excited about that and just wanted to let you know.
New Rooms!
We are really excited to show you guys these pictures of the various rooms/accessories, Here they are! We sprayed them in a gray primer to help show the detail better, but they are resin-cast, and some have white metal accessories. We will be updating the Pledge Manager with the new pictures.

Update #42
Update - Getting close!
Hey guys!
We apologize for the very late update. We have been literally working long hours every day to get things ready for the fulfillment of this Kickstarter.
Pledge Manager:
The Pledge manager will be closing soon. Again, we will notify everyone beforehand so you can finalize your order, so it may be a good time to get your final order in or add to an existing order to get your special KS pricing before the product goes to retail.
Fulfillment Time:
One of the main questions we get often (and understandably) is if this Kickstarter going to fulfill on time?
Let me try to answer this more in-depth. As we get closer to fulfillment, it is just a matter of waiting to receive the product so we can get them on their way to our backers (that’s you). Prototypes were sent months ago, money has been paid and so forth, so at this point we are just waiting for the Stones while we are getting everything else ready.
That said, if EVERYTHING goes smoothly and seamlessly from this point forward, we will still be able to fulfill on time in late July. Although we are hopeful that will happen, we are dealing with manufacturers, shipping, dock yards, trucking companies, and U.S. Customs just to name a few. So basically, we are hoping for the best, but preparing for delays. We’ll keep you posted.
The good news is, it is just a matter of time. We all will get our Stones (and believe me, we want them just as bad as you do!) Just know we are working very hard to make this happen and we will keep you posted as we get closer :)
So in the meantime we are cracking out Kickstarter product, filling up bins and getting ready for the shipping of STONES DUNGEON TILES!
Lock in your pledge!

Until next time, thanks to you, our awesome backers, for your continued support and encouragement!

Update #40
STILL MOVING FORWARD
Hey Guys! Not much to report on this time. Much of our effort is going into wrapping up a lot of the third-party details to make sure that everything arrives on time to complete our fulfillment in our target month. So far, everything is going good. We'll see ya when we do our next update when we should have some more pictures/information for you and such. If you haven't locked in your pledge, please do so as soon as possible at https://pledgemanager.stonesterrain.com/. See you next time!
Update #39
Trash, Corpse Piles, Goblins, and More!
Hello, folks!
Here we are moving right along. Below you will see the various trash, corpse piles and some of the items that will be in the various rooms. We did our best to stain them so you can see some of the detail. Also, the finished version of Mawg the Gorger, Grimes' Gang of lootin' stealin' Goblins and some other items.
Note: A coin has been inserted in some of the pictures for scale. Also the various piles are hallow so you can add a surprise under them for adventures to find!
Large trash pile with loads of detail!
Large Trash/corpse pile. Note the pig and face-down body laying over the top.
Small trash/Corpse pile.
Small Trash pile.
Mawg's Bear-skins bed pile.
Mawg's Trap - open/set.
Mawg's trap closed - can be attached to his waste or back.
Finished Mawg in metal - really BIG BAD Ogre! He is loaded with detail. Note his dreadlocks and beard riddled with debris such as a key, bones, rings and trinkets, and more. Awesome model, should be fun to paint!
Part of Grimes' gang, "Shank" or "Shank Rat" because of his affinity with rats. He'll stick you if you don't watch it and stick you real good! Note his heavy armor, the wooden barrel. Gotta love it!
Butch "The Butcha." This little Goblin loves his BIG choppin' sword!
"Snively", the one-eyed stickin' Goblin.
"Roach" the thievin' Goblin - hold on to your pouch!
These are some beautifully detailed miniatures. Painted pictures and more are coming soon, so stay tuned!
If you haven't added them yet, you can do so now at https://pledgemanager.stonesterrain.com/.
Until next time.
Update #38
Translucents Update!
Hello, folks! A quick update to show you pictures of the translucent tile prototypes, which are going to mold. What you will see below is an actual picture of the prototype tile (note: because of the material color that we used to make the prototypes, it was really hard to get good pictures - we didn't even include the water tile because it just looks flat - but it is not of-course, just a subtle pattern that is hard to see with the camera). We've also included 3D images. One is the translucent on a black background, and the other is the 3D image with color added to give you a better idea of what they will look like. Keep in mind, though, that the actual product will be clear.
The Dungeon Tiles are slightly thicker than the translucent tiles so that you can have a water edge, bubbling pool, etc. that is slightly lower than your stone tiles. For instance, you can use your wooden tiles to make a dock, and your water tiles to make a lake or river. As you can see in the pictures below, the stonework on the gutter tiles is even with the Stones Dungeon Tiles.
Please remember that all of the translucent tiles have the grainy grid pattern on the back which can double for snow, ash, dirt, etc.
Actual Cracked Ice tile prototype. Can also be painted as lava or scorched earth.
3D of the clear Cracked Ice tile on a black background
3D of the Cracked Ice tile with color
3D of the water tile clear on a black background. Again, we did not include the picture of the prototype because it just looked flat, but this is what it will look like. It has very subtle ripples so you can place a boat or other model on it easily.
3D water tile with color added. You can paint/stain it any color you wish to make it clear water, blue water, dirty water, etc.
The actual prototype pattern for the Bubbling-mud tile which can also be used for bubbling water, tar pit, or swamp.
Actual gutter prototype. The water section matches the water tiles' look and pattern, so the gutters can run into a body of water. The stone work is even with the Stones Dungeon Tiles, and the water level is even with the water tile. They can be cut in half to make water edges, cut diagonal (see below) to make gutter corners, and so on.
3D of the clear gutter tile on a black background
3D sample of how the tiles will look when placed together and painted
This is to give an example how to make corner tiles for your gutters.
An example of some tiles arranged in a square.
A corner and straight section placed together.
If you haven't added them yet, you can do so now at https://pledgemanager.stonesterrain.com/.
So there you have it, folks! See you next update!
Update #37
Moving Right Along!
Pledge Manager
We have begun verifying/processing orders, and so far everything is looking good. You guys are doing great! We have had a few minor discrepancies, but for the most part everyone has been spot on, which makes our job so much easier!
Progress Report and New Pictures!
Been in touch with sculptors and things are moving right along. The room accessories such as the trash heap, traps, and so on are in the works. We have been informed that they should be completed by next week. If so, you will have pictures by next update. The Dark Dwarves are looking great, so it's all coming along good.
We are waiting on quotes for the foam inserts for the Stones Dungeon Tiles carrying case, so we'll let you know when we have an update on that. In the mean time, Mawg's Ogre Den is coming along, so have a look at the pictures below.
The cavern entrance to the Ogre Den with the boulder inserted (closed).
Cavern door opened. This door is made with the impression that Mawg moves this huge cavern door to open/close it. Thoughts are to add chains at the rear, so he pulls the chain which is attached to the boulder to open it, and "Ogre-handles" it to push it closed.
Note the spacing between the tiles are a little bit larger. That is so you can add some type of flocking, fine grit or bones/remains between them to give whatever impression you would like to add. We will be having some painted like this later on so you can see examples.
Note that some of the edges have rock-like ridges to show that this is a big cave, and the areas that have the ridges are impassable. Mawg is a cynical Ogre, so he doesn't like many entrances to his cave.
Note how large the room is. The door is going to be mounted on a 1" X 4" cavern flooring which may be placed on either end of the cavern den.
This is the second generation prototype for the fire pit nearly completed. The two stick brackets in the pictures are not the ones that will come with it. They are just to show you where they will be located. There are going to be two larger spit brackets, and then there's going to be a large metal pole that spans it, which is where Mawg cooks his meals. Most likely the inside of the pit is going to be left blank, so you can model it with either logs or coal or whatever you like.
There you have it. See you next update!
Update #36
"Combined Shipping" Issues and Other News
IMPORTANT PLEDGE MANAGER INFORMATION - PLEASE READ!
Well, after working through a few kinks in the beginning, the Pledge Manager is going pretty smoothly now for the most part. Since you were the first to use it, It was "trial by fire," but with your help getting through some minor issues, it is now working great! The only thing we are still having issues with is proper shipping not being added by some backers to "combined shipping items."
While in the process of reviewing orders and processing payments to make sure they are correct, we are finding that many of the orders do not have the proper shipping added for the items that required additional shipping as explained in the listings & video.
If you haven't completed your order yet, please make sure you check the listings and add any extra shipping if required before submitting payment. Here is a video which explains the additional shipping in more detail, which was also included in the last update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT74aS5S9HY
For those who have already ordered, if proper shipping was not added, your total will be adjusted accordingly when your payment is processed. If you used a voucher or paid via Paypal, you will be sent an invoice for the additional charges (which in most cases is minimal, but still necessary).
For your information, the following items listed below are are the items that require extra shipping which have been neglected the most:
Goblins/Dwarves
(Additional shipping for this item covers 1 room and up to 5 miniatures. 1 Grimes miniature is free shipping.)
- Grimes the Goblin (if ordering more than 1)
- Goblin Lair
- Grimes' Goblin Gang
- Dark Dwarves Miniatures
- Dark Dwarves Barracks
Miniature Bases
(Additional shipping for this item covers up to 5 base sets.)
- 25mm Round Miniature Bases
- 25mm Square Miniature Bases
Dungeon Accessories 1
(Additional Shipping covers up to 5 "Dungeon Accessory 1" items)
- 4 Square Bricked Columns
- Mr. Stones Miniature
- 4 Round Columns
- 3 Small Beds
- Treasure Chest & Piles
- Tables and Chairs
- 2 Large Beds
Dungeon Accessories 2
(Additional shipping for this item covers up to 3 "Dungeon Accessory 2" items.)
- 5 Wooden Crates
- 5 Candelabras
- 5 Wooden Barrels
- Treasure Hoard
- 5 Tri-Candelabras
On another note, have checked in with the various sculptors, and progress is being made on the "Work in progress" items. So as soon as we have pictures - again, we will get you some teaser shots. FYI, we are still working on a carrying case that is made to hold the Stones Dungeon Tiles. It is our hope to have a case with the foam insert that is made to fit the tiles, so stay tuned for more on that as it comes in.
As always thank you again for your continued support and we will be in touch soon!
Update #35
Pledge Manager is Back Up
There was a conflict with the vouchers and our payment processing system, but everything seems to be working fine now. Some of you were sent special instructions for helping to clear up some issues, so check your email for details and shop away!
Update #34

Update #33
We're Live! Pledge Manager Instructions & Videos
Okay, folks. The Pledge Manager is now live. A lot of effort went into this, so here we go. Please read this update carefully.
Below you will find 3 videos followed by typed instructions:
- "Original Kickstarter Backer Instructions," which is for our original Kickstarter backers of course.
- "New Backer Instructions," which is for folks who missed the Kickstarter and can now join in on it; however, there is an increase in the price for new backers.
- "Additional Shipping & Voucher Tutorial," which explains how the shipping works for the items that have special shipping requirements, such as the combined shipping for Dungeon Accessories. This video also demonstrates how your credit voucher for your pledge amount works if you are an original backer.
As you know, there were 4 special item groups added the last day of the Kickstarter: Grimes' Goblin Gang and their Lair, Mawg the Gorger and his Den, The Dark Dwarves and their Barracks, and the Dragon's Lair. As stated in Update #25, if you pledged to include these items on the last day, you got them at a very special pricing because they were largely sight-unseen. They are going to be available in the Pledge Manager for others to add on as well; however, the pricing is going to be higher for those who did not pledge for these on the last day (See instructions below to get your special pricing). All of these are still very much works in progress, but as we move towards completion, pictures will be added.
You can watch the videos below or just follow the typed instructions below the videos. Let us know if you experience any issues.
If you are one of our original backers, we have already created an account for you that includes the pledge level options and pricing for the items you are eligible for and a credit for your pledge amount. In order to have full access to these items, you will need to sign in to your account and make a few changes. You will only be able to see items and pricing that you are eligible for. Early Bird Specials, Black Friday Specials, and "Last Day" Specials* will only be accessible to those who qualify to receive these special offers/prices. If a listing says, "Price includes shipping," then no additional shipping is necessary. If it says, "Additional shipping is required for this item," follow the instructions in the listing to add extra shipping to your item (See below for a demonstration video).
* Special "Kickstarter Only" pricing that was available on the last day of the Kickstarter.
It's not too late, Grimes. New Backers can get in on the action now too, so tell your friends!
New Backer Instructions
If you missed out on the Kickstarter for some reason, you can still participate in this project. Update #32
PLEDGE MANAGER GOING LIVE!
Hey, guys, just a quick update. As of now, the Pledge Manager is finally ready to go live! Instructionals are being wrapped up now, so you should be getting your survey tomorrow along with the instructions Update and a link for the Pledge Manager. So ready or not, here it comes!
On another note, will be checking in on the progress of some of the other projects (sculptors) and hopefully have some more pictures for you in the next update. As always, thank you for your support, and we'll be in touch soon!
Update #31
NEW PICS AND PLEDGE MANAGER UPDATE
Hey, guys! Hope all is well. Time for our first official post-Kickstarter scheduled update. Here are a couple things to let you know what's going on.
First of all, the Pledge Manager. We are still waiting for our host to make the final changes and updates so we can go live. Apparently, the time to completion estimate they originally gave us has been extended, but we should be very close. We're super excited and looking forward to getting to this next step as you probably are, so again, we'll let you know AS SOON as it is complete.
Also, we have some new pictures to share with you. Mawg the Gorger has been completed as well as Grimes' Gang. We think they're awesome! Have a look at the images sent to us by the sculptor below. We especially like his collage of Mawg!
Update #30
Pledge Manager Almost Ready!
We just wanted to let you know that the Pledge Manager is just about ready to go live. We are waiting for some technical issues to get worked out and then we'll be good to go! We want to make this process as seamless as possible for you (our backers), so the Pledge Manager should be ready in a few more days. Once it is done to our satisfaction, we will let you know ASAP.
Thanks!
Update #29
Happy New Year!
Hello all! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Ours was great, but now we're all happy to put away the eggnog and get back to work on the Stones project (except Grimes...he really likes eggnog). So here's what's happening now:
1. We are wrapping up the final details on the Pledge Manager, so as soon as it is finished we will be sending out the survey to collect the information that we need to complete the process and get you started applying your pledge amount to your chosen items.
2. As we mentioned before, you will be able to add additional items once the Pledge Manager goes live.
3. We will be sending out updates every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month to keep you informed of our progress. The next scheduled update will be January 20th, but of course if all goes well, we should be sending something out within the week to let you know when the survey is ready and the Pledge Manager is live. This is subject to change, but if it does, we'll let you know.
We are also updating the website (http://stonesterrain.com), so you can check back there to see what's new within the next few days. As always, thanks for your continued support, and Happy New Year!
Update #28
Thank You and Happy Holidays!
Hello, all! This part of the ride is over, and now we're going into phase 2. First of all, we want to say thank you to everyone for a very successful Kickstarter. We appreciate your support, and we are very much looking forward to getting these new Stones to you.
Now that this part of the project is over, the Stones minions are going to take a break to spend time with our families for the holiday season, and we hope you will be doing the same. We will be returning January 7th, so here's what will be happening at that time:
1. We will be sending out the Kickstarter survey at that time which will give us the information we need to set up the pledge manager.
2. The pledge manager will go live shortly after we return where you can allocate your pledge money to the items that you chose during the Kickstarter.
3. Probably the most popular question since this Kickstarter ended is will we be allowing backers to add on more items. We are still working out the details, but yes, we will be allowing backers to add additional items to their pledge, which will be integrated into the pledge manager that we are creating on our website.
4. We are planning to do 2 updates a month at a scheduled time to keep you up up to date on our progress and address any questions that come up. Once we have those dates, we will let you know.
Again, thank you very much for your support and all of your efforts, and we hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year! See you in January!

Update #25
$60K Reached Plus Upcoming Stretch Goals!
Good morning, backers! We have reached the 60K level, and it is now unlocked, yahoo! As you will see, the 60K, 65K, and 70K stretch goals are unique. In these stretch goals, there are 4 unique rooms with accessories (The Goblin Lair and the Dark Dwarves Den in the 60K, the Ogre's Den in the 65K, and the Grand Dragon's Lair in the 70K!) Each one of these areas are a work in progress, and there are multiple talents working on different areas in all of these stretch goal rewards. Because of the grand nature of these, they will not be complete before the Kickstarter ends, so we are going to approach these a little bit different. These items will be available as add-ons during the Kickstarter, and we do plan on having W.I.P. photos for all of them to some extent so you can see something. Because these items are largely sight-unseen, we are going to underestimate the add-on pricing for the duration of this Kickstarter. They will be available to our backers (if the stretch goals are met) after the Kickstarter (again, because of the special nature of these), but remember they will be at a higher price. We are also creating a special section on our website (stonesterrain.com) to show the work in progress on all of these items to keep you updated. Once that is complete, we will send you the link to that page in an update.
For the 100K level, we know that this is a stretch (that's why they're called Stretch Goals :), but at this level we plan to take as much of the resin items offered in this Kickstarter as we can, and convert them to the Stones material. Also, all qualified backers will also get a "Goodie Bag" of free stuff!
$60K Stretch Goal Reached!
Grimes and His Gang!
At the $60,000 level we see the addition of Grimes and his gang of 4 thievin' loot-loaded goblins (sculpted by Jason Wiebe) as well as his Lair, A 6"x6" detailed Goblin room, which will include items such as 'gobliney' beds, a hearth for cooking, a trash pile, loose weapons and other such detail! The room and the goblins will be offered separately. In addition, we will see the "Dark Dwarves" (sculpted by the talented Kevin Williams), the evil cousins of the good Dwarves, and their 6"x8" detailed Barracks, which will include beds, weapons rack, forge, and an evil shrine as well as other details! The new room and the Dark Dwarf miniatures will be offered separately.
Note: Now pictured are 4 work in progress pictures, but keep in mind that these are very much in the WIP stage. Some items may change, such as the hearth, which is going to be more rustic in the final version. This section will be updated as work on this item is completed.
Kickstarter Pricing:
Grimes the Goblin: add $2.00 to your pledge (very special pricing)
Grimes' Goblin Gang of 4: add $12.00 to your pledge
The Goblin Lair room and accessories: add $14.00 to your pledge
The Dark Dwarves Miniatures (5 miniatures): add $15.00 to your pledge

65K Mawg Work In Progress
At the $65,000 level we will see the addition of "Mawg" the Gorger and his detailed 9"x8" cave-like den, which will include such details as a trash heap, ogre bedding, a fire pit with cooking spit, pile of discarded bones, and other debris! Mawg is a collector of sort,s and his miniature (who is being sculpted by the talented Jason Wiebe!) will reflect this as well as his room. The new room and the Ogre miniature will be offered separately.
Here are some notes that were sent to and discussed with the sculptor to give you and idea of where we are going with Mawg The Gorger and his Ogre Den:

StonesTerrain.com
In case you didn't know, the Kickstarter page has very limited formatting options, which makes it difficult to give you an organized view of this project. So we have been updating our stonesterrain.com website with pages and links to make it easier for you to navigate through all the information. It is still a work in progress, but feel free to take a look at what we have done so far.
Pledge Manager
Just to let you know, we are working on our pledge manager, which will be accessible Extras>Downloads page after the Kickstarter ends. We'll keep you posted and let you know when it goes live.
Update #22
New Double Side Added to Large and Small Tiled Dungeon Tiles!
The Stones Large and Small Tiled Dungeon Tiles now have NEW SECOND SIDES!
The Small-Tiled Dungeon Tile now has a Cave/Cavern back, and the Large Tiled-Tile now has a pave-stone back. If you can't see it in the pictures, the Cave/Cavern tile has a dried sliding-mud texture to it. And the pave-stone has a chipped/chiseled texture to it. Both have wonderful detail.
That means that with the New Tiles at the 40K level, you'll get 4 new tiles, but 7 different possibilities!

One of our backers has created an Excel Spreadsheet Pledge Calculator specifically for the Stones Kickstarter and has generously offered to share it with the rest of us! Although this looks pretty accurate, please keep in mind that this spreadsheet is intended for estimating purposes ONLY, so totals may change. We did look it over, but we still may have missed something.

Grimes and His Gang!

We are also working on the Goblin Lair to be included as an add-on at the 60K level along with more surprises to be revealed!

Update #12
Miniature Case Concerns
Good Morning all!
There has been some questions and concerns regarding the miniature case we are offering as an add on.
Apparently there was an issue (a batch of foam tray inserts from the supplier which were offered in a 2012 KS) with a tackiness with the glue within some of the foam trays due to slight over application of the glue. The glue is a silicone-based product so retains some of its "tackiness" to maintain a flexibility.
Personally I own quite a few of the 2012 cases with those foam trays and really like them and have not had any problems with them. I like the pocket size because most of my miniatures are 28mm and if I need larger pockets I simply remove the wall between them, so thought they would be great for storing the "Dungeon Furnishings" we are currently offering and it is a GREAT value. However, if any of you guys feel the newer case foam inserts with larger openings would would better, then by all means that is the one we will offer to you. Additionally, if any of you get them and are not happy with them, then just let us know and we will take care of it.
For those who wish to get the newer one, just let us know at the end of the KS and we will make sure you get those foam trays with those pocket sizes (have one pictured below so you can see it). Thank you again for your comments and support. We really appreciate them! Keep spreading the word :)

Update #6
NOW THEY ARE DOUBLE-SIDED TILES!
We have had several backers mention they would like to see double-sided tiles and others want to keep the anti-slip back. Well, we now have the best of both worlds! The anti-slip backing is a grainy-like texture, so we have added the 1" grid to the back, and Viola! It can now be painted like dirt, mud and so on (the other side is still the Stones Dungeon pattern - they're double-sided!) We are also going to design a Caverns Accessories Set to go along with it and offer it as an add-on, so you can add rock formations, stalagmites, growth and so on by placing them right on the tiles! Remember, these are just prototypes/WIPs, but it gives you an idea of what is to come.
